Geometry
Geometry is identifying and describing shapes as well as analyzing, comparing, creating, and composing shapes.
Geoboards are always very popular in the classroom, except when the rubber bands break or fly off the board! Finally, a geoboard where the rubber bands don't break and never fly across the room! This Virtual Geoboard has a never ending supply of rubber bands and guiding activities for exploration of shapes.
In Buddy's Gem Hunt players dive deep into a cave to collect crystals of different shapes, size, and color. Before giving them to the conductor players must sort their shapes.
In Castle Shapes players sort 2-D and 3-D shapes. Can you say the names of all of the shapes as you sort them?
Shape Sorter lets you make the rules. You can do a single sort and just find all of the triangles or you can choose to use a Venn Diagram and sort the shapes using two different rules to show what the two attributes have in common. There are a lot of different ways to play this game!
